Optimizing the use of information and communication technologies through the development, administration, and maintenance of services and systems in order to deliver timely and secure information for decision-making.

Powers and Responsabilities:

1. 1. Directing the planning for the strengthening of standards and tools for the development and administration of Information and Communication Technologies;
   2. Leading the preparation of programs and projects to improve the Information Technology and Communications systems;
   3. Guiding the operation, maintenance, and updating of servers, networks, interconnections, storage, backup/recovery and centralization/virtualization to provide optimal Information and Communication Technology services;
   4. Directing the preparation of contingency plans to ensure continuity in the operation of facilities, equipment, networks, and Information and Communication Technologies services; and,
   5. Coordinating the training and technical training for the development, administration, and maintenance of Information and Communication Technologies services and tools.
